GOLF:
If you’ve ever wanted to play golf in the Scottish Highlands but just haven’t booked the flight, take a drive to McLemore Club to quench your wanderlust. Located atop Lookout Mountain in Northwest Georgia and surrounded by thousands of acres of protected wilderness, state parks, and national parks, the getaway offers breathtaking views and an 18-hole championship course designed by internationally acclaimed architects Rees Jones and Bill Bergin. Planned in order to take in the natural topography, the mountain course is equally challenging and beautiful. The 18th hole, carved into the edge of a cliff, has been named the best finishing hole built since 2000 by Golf Digest and ranks in the top 10 best finishing holes in the world, according to Links magazine.
OTHER ACTIVITIES:
McLemore Club offers hiking and mountain biking trails, bouldering and rock climbing routes, and breathtaking waterfalls, as well as wedding and event venues. A songwriter series features Grammy-winning performers May through October. Future plans call for additional amenities, including a full trail system, spa, fitness center, tennis and pickle ball, a club pool, and more.
