Prioritize the view.
A natural palette indoors will let the great outdoors command the attention they deserve. Arrange furniture accordingly.
Use durable materials.
Opt for performance or indoor/outdoor fabrics and rugs along with furnishings made of stone, rustic wood, rattan, or composite material. Eliminate anything that is formal or has a delicate finish.
Add blackout lining to window treatments.
Because deep sleep is a priority in a vacation home.
Outsmart spring’s green.
Splurge on outdoor furniture covers to protect from the inevitable pollen attack.
Set up a self-serve coffee bar and stock a drink fridge.
